Sept. 11 -- How difficult is it to get an A in this class?

It is difficult to give a short, meaningful answer to this question. The last 2 times that I taught ITL424 and ITL511 (Fall 2004, Fall 2005), a total of 46 students were still enrolled at the end of the semester. The grades were distributed as follows:

ITL424
- 6 students got A or A-
- 11 students got B+, B or B-
- 3 students got C+, C or C-
- 1 student got a D
- 2 student got an F
Keep in mind that the Fs were assigned to students who did not complete the classwork.

ITL511
- 6 students got A or A-
- 14 students got B+, B or B-
- 3 students got C+, C or C-

These are the numeric equivalents of the letter grades:
- 94-100 = A
- 90-93 = A-
- 87-89 = B+
- 84-86 = B
- 80-83 = B-
- 77-79 = C+
- 74-76 = C
- 70-73 = C-
- 66-69 = D+
- 60-65 = D
- 0-59 = F
