This is a quasi-professional site, created primarily with the intent of supporting the teaching of graduate and undergraduate classes in Italian language and culture. My name is Andrea Fedi, and I work for the Department of European Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, in the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

This web site has been tested on the latest PC versions of Firefox (3.5.7), Chrome (3.0.195.38), and Internet Explorer (IE 8's 32 bit works fine; some problems may occur while using the 64-bit version). Keep in mind that you need to have JavaScript enabled inside your browser, in order to see the rotating pictures of Italy, the slideshows included in some of the site's pages, and to be able to modify the colors and the graphics.

NB: Since there are bits of JavaScript that are used to improve the accessibility and functionality of these pages, Norton and other antivirus software may flag this website as potentially harmful. Clearly, that's not the case.
